Every letter, email and document LEAT receives is registered, given a reference and assigned to a named person.
You will be given a reference like LEAT/INC/2026/0042. Quote it in anything that follows.
References are never reused. If a registration is cancelled it keeps its number and a note saying why, so two letters can never answer to one reference.
One person is accountable for each item. Not a team and not an inbox. If a deadline is missed it is escalated to a manager, which alerts somebody rather than handing your letter to them.
LEAT records two dates: when your letter actually arrived, and when it was entered into the system. If post is entered a few days after it arrived, the record says so.
This matters if a deadline turns on when something was received. The record will not pretend the entry date is the arrival date.
Quote your reference. Every registered item has an owner and a state, so somebody can tell you where it is rather than guessing.
